The blockchain network announced Wednesday that a hacker who assisted Polygon in averting multibillion-dollar tragedy in early December won $2.2 million bug reward. On Dec. 3, the so-called "whitehat," also known as "Leon Spacewalker" on Twitter and GitHub, discovered vulnerability in a major Polygon smart contract that housed over 9 billion MATIC tokens, valued at $20.2 billion at the time. By December 5, core engineers had pushed out a fix.
