Polkadot is considering a switch to a deflationary model, which would mean that the supply of DOT tokens would gradually decrease. This could have both positive and negative consequences. On the positive side, a deflationary DOT could be more attractive to investors and help to protect against inflation. On the negative side, it could lead to a decrease in spending and make it difficult for businesses to borrow money. The Polkadot team is still weighing the pros and cons of this change, and has not yet made a decision.
