Over 300 victims of a crypto scam center in the Philippines were rescued after authorities cut off the facility’s electricity. The victims, trafficked from various countries, were forced to work under harsh conditions, scamming people through fraudulent cryptocurrency schemes. Many were lured with fake job offers but later trapped, facing abuse and threats. The operation, led by Philippine authorities, exposed a larger network of cyber-slavery linked to organized crime. The raid highlights the growing issue of human trafficking in crypto scams, urging stronger international cooperation to combat such fraudulent operations and protect vulnerable job seekers from exploitation.
