The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) has been accused of failing to bring Tigran Gambaryan, a jailed Binance executive, to a court hearing on May 22. Moses Idehu, representing the Nigerian revenue collection agency (FIRS), requested an adjournment to investigate Gambaryan's absence. Gambaryan is key to Nigeria’s tax evasion case against Binance, and his absence prevented him and Binance from entering pleas. This incident follows a Nigerian court's denial of Gambaryan’s bail application. Judge Emeka Nwite was informed that the NCS, not the FIRS, was responsible for the failure. Idehu stated that steps would be taken to ensure Gambaryan's presence at the next hearing.
