The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG.L) announced it will introduce blockchain-powered trading for conventional financial assets. The group desires to develop a platform that will allow investors to trade traditional securities using blockchain technology, thus offering greater efficiency and security. The project is part of the group’s priority on utilizing emerging technologies to improve customer services. According to LSEG’s CEO, the group’s readiness for innovation and the close collaboration with regulators set the stage for the development of the blockchain-powered trading platform.
