The North Korean hacking group Lazarus Group is using a new type of malware called BLumine that is harder to detect than its predecessor. BLumine is designed to steal cryptocurrency and other digital assets and uses a variety of techniques to evade detection, including fileless execution, in-memory encryption, and the use of legitimate tools. Crypto firms should be on the lookout for BLumine and take steps to protect their assets, such as implementing strong security measures, educating employees about cyber-security best practices, and using a security information and event management (SIEM) system.
