The target of sophisticated crypto scams that pry on love-hungry users through dating apps is increasingly being discovered by Japanese men aged 30-49. Last year, on 2019 figures, the number of complaints more than doubled. NCAC cautioned that a number of "love-seeking women" induced their victims to invest in crypto projects using "fake" trading platforms in the cases it has investigated.
