India’s Cryptocurrency experts have urged that Cryptocurrencies should be seen as "Commodities" to the ministry of finance. As per the unnamed sources, there is an assumption that the transactions are regulated by the Gujarat International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA). Under this regulation, investors would be treated as commodity investors who follow KYC compliance standards. They have also recommended that investors’ individual holdings should be limited to $250,000 under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme.
