Digital Asset, developer of the institutional-focused Canton Network, has raised $135 million in a funding round backed by Goldman Sachs, Citadel Securities, BNP Paribas, DTCC, and others. The round was led by DRW Venture Capital and Tradeweb Markets. The funds will be used to scale the Canton Network, a privacy-enabled blockchain that connects real-world assets like bonds, money market funds, and mortgages. With nearly 400 institutions already onboard, the network aims to support regulated financial markets. This investment signals growing institutional confidence in blockchain infrastructure as Wall Street firms deepen involvement in digital asset tokenization and decentralized finance solutions.
