Sam Bankman-Fried, co-founder of FTX, has been transferred to a temporary detention center in Oklahoma despite a judge's recommendation to keep him in New York to assist with his appeal. Bankman-Fried, sentenced to 25 years for fraud, had been preparing for his trial in Brooklyn. He has publicly objected to the trial's fairness, accusing Sullivan & Cromwell of colluding with the prosecution. As he appeals his conviction, he seeks a reduced sentence and the opportunity to present key evidence and witnesses. Bankman-Fried may eventually be transferred to a prison in California to be closer to his family. FTX's token, FTT, is currently valued at $1.59.
