A deepfake live stream featuring an AI-generated version of Elon Musk scammed crypto users on YouTube over the weekend. The stream, which attracted over 30,000 viewers, encouraged people to deposit Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin with promises of doubling their contributions. The video used semi-pixelated footage of Musk and a fake Tesla event to appear legitimate. Google has since removed the video and the channel involved. This incident is part of a series of crypto scams using Musk deepfakes.
