Renowned crypto lawyer and pro-XRP advocate John Deaton has struck back at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission again, accusing the regulator of stunting XRP’s growth and adoption in the U.S. According to him, the two-and-a-half legal tussle between the SEC and Ripple affected XRP’s use as a payment option in the U.S. In a lengthy thread on X, Deaton gave an example that he termed “small yet significant” of how the lawsuit hurt Ripple’s business.
