CryptoSat is stated to launch a network of crypto satellites in the space. The November 2017 paper outlined in building a prototype of nano-satellite to launch in the outer space in order to isolate and secure the cryptographic module. The concept is yet to be proven, however, it is the first project that actually involves space and blockchain technology that would enable an entire constellation of CryptoSats in the Earth’s orbit. Wherein the infrastructure of the blockchain can be utilised for mining and even timestamping documents. Also, the launch costing estimated by the Winetraub is actually less than $100,000.
