In the first quarter of this year, crypto companies raised nearly $2.5 billion in venture capital investment, marking a 29% increase in dollar value and a 68% higher deal count compared to the previous quarter. This data comes from a research report by Galaxy Digital, which highlighted a turnaround from three consecutive quarters of declining deal count and capital invested. Despite the surge in deal count to 603, the capital invested increased by a more modest 29%. The report noted that while Bitcoin and the broader crypto market performed well in Q1, leading to renewed optimism, the investment amount appeared somewhat subdued in comparison to the overall sentiment.
