On April 29, Bahrain-based crypto exchange Rain was reportedly exploited, resulting in a theft of $14.8 million, as revealed by blockchain analyst ZachXBT. The stolen funds were divided into wallets containing 137.9 BTC and 1,881 ETH, all of which have remained inactive since the incident. It appears that the exploit involved suspicious outflows from Rain's BTC, ETH, SOL, and XRP wallets, with the funds swiftly transferred to instant exchanges and converted into BTC and ETH. The hack underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by cryptocurrency exchanges and highlights the importance of robust security measures in safeguarding user assets.
