Bitpanda, a European crypto exchange, has expanded its partnership with Raiffeisen Bank to offer crypto services at 55 bank branches in Austria. This move follows Bitpanda's recent announcement of opening an office in Dubai, marking its first expansion outside of Europe. The choice of the UAE for expansion is influenced by the country's clear regulatory framework, particularly the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). Bitpanda's deputy CEO, Lukas Konrad, attributes the growth in adoption to the European Union's regulatory clarity, such as the Market in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regime. The Raiffeisen partnership has already seen a 10% adoption rate, with new investors mainly buying large-cap cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum tokens.
