The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) informed financial service businesses that it is not allowed to deal with cryptocurrency. Director Bello Hassan has signed a warning letter with severe regulatory sanctions for those failing to meet the directive. He stated that monetary service providers must identify on/off ramping and immediately close accounts associated with the action. As per the bank, it is important to protect against the risks related to cryptocurrency.
