Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) plans to launch Micro Bitcoin Futures contracts in May, enabling traders to speculate on fractional units of BTC. The newly offered contracts will be one-tenth the size of one bitcoin. It will provide institutional investors and small individual traders with one more tool to hedge their bitcoin price risk. They will be cash-settled against the CME reference rate, including data from major crypto exchanges like Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken, itBit, and Bitstamp.
