CMCC Global, a Hong Kong-based venture capital firm focused on blockchain and Web3 investments, has raised US$100 million for a new fund that will invest in Hong Kong-based Web3 companies. The fund, called the Titan Fund, will make early-stage investments in companies across Web3 sectors such as gaming, the metaverse, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The Titan Fund is one of the largest Web3 funds to be launched in Hong Kong to date. It is backed by a number of high-profile investors, including B1, Pacific Century Group, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss' firm, and Yat Siu, the founder of Animoca Brands.
