BlockFi, a cryptocurrency lender, has emerged from bankruptcy and begun repaying creditors. The company filed for bankruptcy in November 2022 after being impacted by the collapse of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange that BlockFi had close ties to. BlockFi's bankruptcy plan was approved by a bankruptcy court in July 2023, and the company emerged from bankruptcy on October 24, 2023. BlockFi is now repaying creditors under its bankruptcy plan. The company has said that it will repay creditors in full, but it is unclear how long this will take. BlockFi is also working to recover assets from FTX and other entities that it believes owe it money.
