Standard Chartered's crypto custody firm, Zodia Custody, has launched its services in Hong Kong. This is the latest push by the U.K.-headquartered firm into the Asia-Pacific region. Zodia Custody is a digital asset custodian that helps financial institutions store their crypto securely. It was founded in 2020 and has over US$825.8 billion in total assets under custody. The launch of Zodia Custody in Hong Kong is seen as a positive development for the crypto industry in the region. Hong Kong is a major financial center and has been supportive of crypto innovation. The launch of Zodia Custody will give financial institutions in Hong Kong access to a secure and reliable way to store their crypto assets.
