To look after food safety Walmart of China has partnered with blockchain based firm- VeChain and PwC. These firms have already developed food tracking project. Currently, 23 product line is using Walmart China Blockchain Traceability Platform and it is expected to rise up to 100 by the end of the year. Customers can get the information about the product’s geographic location received by Walmart, product inspection report, logistics process, etc. The platform ensures that the transparency of the product is to maintain and boost the trust of the consumers.
