Australian financial adviser Glenda Maree Rogan has been banned by ASIC for 10 years after misappropriating A$14.8 million (US$9.6 million) from clients, friends, and family. From March 2022 to June 2023, she falsely marketed the investment as a secure fixed-interest product but transferred the funds into cryptocurrency via an unlicensed UK-based platform known as the “Financial Centre.” ASIC found she likely knew the platform was fraudulent. Funds were routed through her personal and business accounts. ASIC declared her unfit to provide financial services, warning she may reoffend. Rogan's name has been added to ASIC’s banned and disqualified register.
