Yesterday, when people were ready to welcome 2021, The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) shared shocking news with the crypto industry in the last hours of 2020. The FinCEN asking crypto holders to reveal crypto holdings over $10,000 mandatory held with foreign digital currency service providers. The notice states, “FinCEN intends to propose to amend the regulations implementing the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regarding reports of foreign financial accounts (FBAR) to include virtual currency as a type of reportable account.”
