On Friday, Aug. 27, Ether (ETH) will see its $820 million monthly options expire. That will be the first time that options costing $3,000 or more have a realistic chance of winning. Bulls, on the other hand, appear to have squandered an opportunity to dominate the expiry because they were overconfident in Ether's price potential. Ether's expiration date is at $3,050, and any neutral-to-bullish call option above $3k becomes worthless if the price drops below $2k.
