In a move to reflect its expanding product offerings and broader ambitions within the Web3 ecosystem, the Aave ecosystem has rebranded itself as Avara. The new name, which is derived from the Finnish word for "spacious," signifies the company's vision of an open, inclusive, and accessible Web3 future. The rebranding encompasses the entire Aave ecosystem, including the Aave protocol, Lens Protocol, and the GHO stablecoin. However, the AAVE token will retain its name. The rebranding also coincides with the acquisition of Los Feliz Engineering, the team behind the popular Ethereum self-custody wallet Family.
