Indian call center in Madhya Pradesh targeted US citizens to steal bitcoin by requesting them payments in bitcoin. The Indore unit of Madhya Pradesh police’s Cyber Cell unearthed the online scam and arrested 78 people in this fraud. In the American accent, the callers claimed they were officers from the US social security unit and explain victims’ social security credentials had been used for money laundering and smuggling drugs. Callers asked victims to make payments in price ranging from $50 and $5,000 using Bitcoin, prepaid gift cards, and other forms of online payments.
