Bitcoin network hash rate has made history by going over 102 quintillion hashes for the first time ever. Hash rate means the computing power needed for processing Bitcoin transactions. The number of hashes decides how many miners are competing to get the block reward that means higher the number of hashes higher miners are competing. In December 2018, it was seen that the hash rate was rising from 31 quintillion hashes per second.
