Doctors To Get 1 Petro Cryptocurrency In Venezuela As A Goodwill
On 1st April, Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro tweeted about giving a reward of one Petro Cryptocurrency to Venezuelan doctor. This reward for doctors is a token of goodwill for their hard work and determination. He also believes that this initiative will drive the nationwide adoption of its pet cryptocurrency.
The native Petro cryptocurrency of Venezuela has been facing a low adoption rate. However, President Maduro has tried all the ways to increase the adoption rate of Petro either by forcing or commanding but still people don’t know what to do with Petro cryptocurrency.
The President decided to show gratitude to the doctor who is working day and night and giving their 100%. The Petro will be distributed through the Venezuelan government-designed Patria System.
Apart from rewarding Petro to doctors, Maduro has also approved rewards for those who are most affected by virus spread. The Venezuelan government has announced the distribution of Stay at Home Disciplinary and Solidarity bonuses for the workers who are not able to earn their livelihood due to forced quarantine at home.
According to the Maduro administration, the price of Petro is around sixty US dollars ($60) but many cryptocurrency exchanges claim that the token price has not exceeded twenty-six US dollars ($26).
However, one Petro Cryptocurrency is equal to a doctor's many months earned a little more than the set minimum wages.
